On March 29, the Delaware County Women's Commission wrapped up Women's History Month by honoring three Women of the Year—representing the past, present, and future. We are incredibly proud to share that Academy Park Senior, Keyarra Barley, was recognized as the Woman of the Year for the Future! 🎉
Keyarra received this honor for her outstanding achievements in civic engagement, advocacy, and amplifying the student voice—both in and out of school. She was nominated and accompanied by Academy Park Twelfth Grade Principal Mrs. Lartarsha Threadgill.
This year’s theme, “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” highlights the power of women in education, mentorship, and leadership. Keyarra’s dedication to making a difference truly embodies this theme, and we couldn’t be prouder of her impact on our school and community!

The Ethan Joner Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications from Academy Park High School seniors! 📣
This scholarship awards $2,700 annually to one student who exemplifies Ethan’s passion, kindness, generosity, and impact in the local community. The funds can be used for college, trade school, or other career education.

The next Southeast Delco School Board Committee of the Whole meeting will take place Thursday, March 20, at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held at the Educational Services Center (1560 Delmar Drive, Folcroft).
