Hello Students and Parents!

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Mrs.Thompson, and I am your Delcroft School Librarian. I began my teaching journey as a preschool teacher at the age of 18. Since then, I’ve worked with all age groups, and I’ve held various roles in education. This year, I will be rolling into my 7^th year as a teacher. I am a native Philadelphian and a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University where I earned my degree in Secondary English Education. Before coming to the SEDSD, I taught 7^th Grade Language Arts in Philadelphia. Naturally, my greatest joy is learning by way of reading!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, dog and cats (Gizmo, Guy and Greta.) I also enjoy reading, completing DIY projects, and genealogical research in my free time. Two of my favorite books are The Giver by Lois Lowry and The Lorax by Dr. Seuss.
